"I paint dark surrealist portraits and atmospheres. I paint with acrylic and use a combination of old masters painting techniques and early 20th-century surrealist painting techniques. I paint organically from my subconscious mind, without questioning it or trying to impose meaning on it. I just trust that the process will reveal something that resonates with viewers, myself included. I can’t account for why it’s dark. My work was called “Cronenberg meets Dali” by two different people at a gallery opening one night, and I’m okay with that.

I originally went to film school, and stopped pursuing film in order to paint. It was a very hard but organic process to find my path. Currently I’m doing conventions and expos where I sell my art and do custom grotesque watercolor portraits of people. I live in Whittier, CA."
