Roger Hootinger's Original Hootenanny TM

kAt Philbin hails from the middle of nowhere in Southwest Missouri, in a liminal space between forest and field. She grew up in a spooky old house, reading lots of books and wandering the countryside. She has been drawing since she could hold a utensil and now creates intricate drawings with dip pen and ink, gouache and watercolor. Tiny lines are her weapon of choice.

She currently lives in North Hollywood, California with some plants and a thriving sourdough starter named David Hasselhefe.

For Bewitched, these vintage inspired illustrations explore the lighter side of Halloween season with spooky kids. Ghost girls and bad seeds, changelings and magic dabblers, trouble-makers and witch babies… They all come out to play when the veil is thin.
