The Feast

Jennifer Nguyen is a self-taught illustrator based just outside of Los Angeles. As a shy only-child growing up, most of her time was spent finding ways to relieve herself of boredom and loneliness. This involved a lot of observing, a lot of imagining, and a lot of doodling. Echoes of this upbringing can be seen in her art today.

She likes drawing celestial objects. Things with celestial patterns on them basking under a crescent moon, or critters doing their thing under a really big sun. She also makes heavy use of repeating patterns and textures in these works to hopefully convey the wavy gauziness of light.
